British Columbia golfers did the PGA of BC proud at the 2013 PGA Assistants' Championship of Canada presented by Titleist & FootJoy.
Three of the top four spots were claimed by BC players, with Shaughnessy's Lindsay Bernakevitch coming closest to winning after he lost on the first playoff hole to Ontario's Billy Walsh.
Bernakevitch shot 67 on Thursday to finish at -12. Just behind, in a tie for third were Seymour Creek's Bryn Parry and Summerland's Greg Machtaler, who both finished at -11.
Other great BC performances came from Chilliwack's Brad Clapp, who shot 69 on Thursday to finish at -7; Richard Choi of The Redwoods in Langley who finished at -6 and Kyle German and Myles Johnson, who finished at -5.
Seymour Creek's Dave Zibrik and Olympic View's Gordy Scutt finished at -3, while Mayfair Lakes' Shingo Akizuki was at -2.
BC's team of Parry, Machtaler, Scutt and Ethan Danish won the Inter-Zone Team Competition earlier in the week.
