MORE THAN 20 PGA OF BC PROS TO PLAY IN PGA ASSISTANTS' CHAMPIONSHIP IN SASKATOON

British Columbia will be well-represented at The Willows Golf & Country Club in Saskatoon from Sept. 9-12 as the PGA of Canada hosts the PGA Assistants' Championship of Canada, presented by Titleist & Footjoy.

Leading the charge for BC will be Summerland's Greg Machtaler and Seymour Creek's Bryn Parry. Machtaler is coming off Canada Cup and PGA of BC victories while Parry won the PGA of Canada Match Play earlier this summer.

Also rounding into form are Northview's Kyle German, who had a top-five finish at the PGA of BC Championship and followed it up with a win at a SRIXON event in Chilliwack on Aug. 26; Seymour Creek's Dave Zibrik, who came second at the Canada Cup; and Edd Boudreau, who shot 65 in the final round of the PGA of BC Championship to get himself into a playoff with Machtaler and Parry.

Also not to be discounted are Olympic View's Gordy Scutt, Two Eagles' Ethan Danish, Chiliwack's Brad Clapp and Shaughnessy's Lindsay Bernakevitch.

PGA Assistants' Championship of Canada, presented by Titleist & Footjoy features a purse of $60,000 and features both a 54-hole individual stroke-play competition and a 36-hole Inter-Zone Team competition. B.C.'s team consists of Machtaler, Parry, Danish and Scutt.
