1. HUGH VASSOS, Tournament Director, GolfBC Championship

Topic: Starting a Professional Golf Tournament from Scratch

From the time the inaugural 2016 GolfBC Championship was announced for Gallagher’s Canyon in Kelowna and the official tee-off just four months later, things got real busy for the newest member of the Mackenzie Tour - PGA TOUR Canada family. Everything from selling sponsorships, recruiting 400 volunteers, organizing special events, securing transportation and parking, and overall event planning and marketing became our challenge. The drive was to build a tournament from the ground up that would become one of the top stops on the TOUR in one of the best golf markets in Canada.

2. JAN ENNS, MA, Principal, Jan Enns Communications

Topic: You Are The Message: Connection Before Content

A key part of the reputation we build as a club, or an individual, is based on that personal connection we make with our members and customers. It’s more than the content – what we say – but also how we say it. If you can’t deliver an appealing, personally engaging message – and stay on message especially when confronted with member concerns – you may not be successful, no matter how good your offer is. Jump start your ability to get your message across with this lively, interactive workshop that will help you hone your personal presentation style. You’ll learn key tips to a solid delivery and common mistakes to avoid, helping you boost your reputation as a true professional.
