Nine deserving candidates put their names forward, but there was only one vacant spot on the PGA of BC Board of Directors.

Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club's Head Professional Alan Palmer has been elected by his peers. Alan brings to the PGA of BC, a wealth of knowledge and experience that is sure to benefit members in many different aspects.

With another strong turnout at the online voting polls, the race for a position on the Board was extremely close. Approximately 25% of the membership took part in the voting process, which statistically is very strong in terms of elections. Congratulations to all candidates for putting their names forward and their strong campaigns.  

Gallagher's Canyon Golf & Country Club's Tara Roden will serve the remainder of her term with the PGA of BC Board until the Annual General Meeting.  Tara, who served a two-year term on the Board, was instrumental in the advancement of the Association's Education initiatives and has agreed to remain on the Education Committee for 2014. 

The new Board of Directors will become official at the 2014 PGA of BC Annual General Meeting taking place at 4:15pm on Monday February 17th at Riverway Golf Course. All members are encouraged to attend.
