RICHMOND, BC (PGA of BC) – The PGA of BC is pleased to announce an expanded partnership with Nike Golf & Mint Green Group. Already proud sponsors of the PGA of BC Club Professional Championship being held at Point Grey Golf & Country Club on September 18 & 19, Nike Golf & Mint Green Group have agreed to sponsor the PGA of BC Zone Teams at both the PGA Assistants’ and Head Pro Championships of Canada.

This year’s PGA Assistants’ Championship of Canada Zone Team will be made up of the top-four available finishers from the 2023 PGA of BC Assistants’ Championship. The provincial Assistants’ Championship was held at Chilliwack Golf Club on June 19 & 20. Steven Lecuyer (Seymour Creek Golf Centre) emerged victorious, shooting a final round 67 to finish the championship at 9-under-par and winning by one stroke. He is scheduled to attend the National Championship and be joined by Kevin Stinson (Cheam Mountain Golf Course), Luke Bogdan (Cheam Mountain Golf Course) and Ethan Danish (GOLFTEC Kelowna). The team will compete at The Ranch Golf & Country Club from September 18-21.
Like the Assistants’ event, the PGA Head Pro Championship of Canada, taking place in Cancun, Mexico in November, will feature a BC Zone Team comprised of the top-four finishers at the PGA of BC Club Professional Championship. A total of 60 competitors will tee-off at the historic Point Grey Golf & Country Club, competing for the Dick Munn Memorial Trophy. The field will include defending champion Mark Kitts (Shadow Ridge Golf Club), who recently posted a top-five finish at the PGA of BC Championship, as well as former champion and Point Grey Director of Golf, Dave Zibrik.
