OPERATION 36: THE SMARTER WAY TO COACH BEGINNERS
A Simple Way to Keep Beginners Engaged and Coming Back
Imagine a beginner golfer walking off the course, smiling because they just hit their best score yet. Their confidence is growing, and they can’t wait to come back for the next round. This is what keeps golfers engaged—and it’s exactly what Operation 36 is designed to create.
With on-course experiences, a built-in community, and an all-in-one app that handles registration, lessons, and communication, Operation 36 makes coaching beginner golfers more enjoyable, rewarding, and profitable. Whether you work with juniors, ladies, or adults, this approach gives you everything you need to help them succeed.
"When I introduced Operation 36 to Sturgeon Valley in 2021, it was instrumental in helping me transition from working full-time in the golf shop and coaching part-time to becoming a full-time coach. The program has added significant value to my role at the club, providing leverage when negotiating my contract and ensuring long-term retention. Additionally, learning to run structured, long-term development has made me a better coach overall, benefiting all of my students."
— Cody Hancock, Sturgeon Valley Golf & Country Club, Alberta
Everything You Need in One Place
Managing your coaching has never been simpler. With one app, you can handle registrations, scheduling, lesson plans, progress tracking, and communication, you’ll spend less time on admin work and more time coaching.
Operation 36 makes it easy to coach beginners and grow your business. Golfers start at a manageable distance, build confidence, and stay motivated with fun on-course experiences. The built-in community keeps them engaged, making learning social and rewarding. With golfers progressing together, coaching becomes simpler, more enjoyable, and more effective.
And the best part? When golfers see progress, they stay committed. Instead of students dropping off after a few lessons, they stay engaged long-term, leading to higher retention, increased revenue, and a thriving coaching business.
Many coaches also see a major boost in revenue by shifting from private lessons to structured group coaching. With Operation 36, you can work with more students per hour while maintaining a high level of coaching quality. This allows you to increase lesson capacity, maximize your income, and build a loyal community of golfers who return season after season.
"Operation 36 has helped refresh our junior and adult coaching by keeping it fun as well as providing a tangible way to measure progress. The online coaching tools, certification process, and on-demand assistance have helped me create a stronger experience for my students."
— Nicola Greaves, Willow Park Golf & Country Club, Calgary, Alberta

Launching Operation 36 at your facility is simple. With minimal setup, you can start attracting more beginner golfers immediately. And you won’t be alone—Operation 36 is already being used at over 800 clubs worldwide, with more than 180,000 golfers actively learning through the system. From private clubs to municipal courses, coaches everywhere are seeing success by using this approach to develop confident, engaged golfers.
Operation 36 also provides a network of like-minded coaches who share best practices and strategies, so you’re never alone in building a successful coaching business. You’ll have access to training and a support system that works—whether you’re running your first session or scaling up a thriving coaching business.
"It can be scary to implement new things to your members, but the minute I heard about Operation 36, I knew this was the best choice for my students and teaching."
— Kristi Roach, Hampton Golf & Country Club, New Brunswick
