**2016 PGA of Canada Golf Professional of the Year**

Born in London, Ontario, Alan moved to Montreal, Quebec at the age of 7.

Alan represented The Royal Montreal Golf Club as a junior / amateur golfer. Passionate about the game and business potential of golf, Alan enrolled and graduated from Georgian College`s Business Administration - Professional Golf Management program, where he played on the Georgian Grizzlies men`s varsity golf team.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the PGA of BC as the Vice-President, Finance and is a member of the Titleist / FootJoy (Acushnet Canada) Leadership Advisory Staff.

Since turning professional, Alan has had the opportunity of being part the professional staff at some of the world`s greatest golf facilities:

  • The Country Club - Brookline (Boston, Massachusetts)
  • St. George`s Golf & Country Club (Toronto, Ontario)
  • Casa de Campo Resort (La Romana, Dominican Republic)
  • Beacon Hall Golf Club (Toronto, Ontario)
  • Jasper Park Lodge Golf Club (Jasper, Alberta)

Since March 2012, Alan has assumed the role of Director of Golf / Head Golf Professional at Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club in Vancouver, BC. Host of the PGA Tour’s 1948, 1966, 2005 and 2011 RBC Canadian Open.
