Richmond, BC (November 17, 2014) - Twenty-three PGA of BC professionals are teeing it up at the SunRidge Canyon Golf Club in Fountain Hill, Arizona, for this week’s Titleist & FootJoy PGA Club Professional Championship of Canada (November 17-19th, 2014).

Being held for the first time in Arizona, this year’s $85,000-purse event boasts a strong field of 111 Master Professionals, Executive Professionals, Head Professionals and Head Teaching Professionals from across the country, including six top-100 ranked players from the BC Region: Lindsay Bernakevitch (#7), Kevin Maxwell (#49), Lance McCullough (#77), Kevin Black (#77), Rob Anderson (#86), Jeff Buder (#89) and Mark Strong (#98).

As part of the three-day event, there will also be a 36-hole Inter-Zone competition with four players representing each Zone (and the three best scores counting each day). The BC Zone Team will be represented by Bernakevitch, Maxwell, Buder, and 2014 PGA of BC Club Professional Champion Doug Morgan.

The difficult SunRidge Canyon layout has been voted to GolfWeek’s ‘Best of Arizona Courses’ list for three consecutive years and should provide a stern test over 54-holes of tournament stroke play.
