The PGA of BC would like to congratulate four members who are amongst the 20 recipients of the PGA of Canada Foundation 2013 Bursary Program.
Earning bursaries are: Crown Isle Resort & Golf Community Teaching Professional Robert Ratcliffe; Seymour Golf & Country Club Class "A" Professional Colin Lavers; Capilano Golf & Country Club Class "A" Professional Courtney Campbell-Leveck; and Class "A" Professional Eric Thorsteinson.
The other 16 recipients of the bursaries are: Carla Munch-Miranda, Ryan Anderson, Jacob Patte, Brent Pusch, Shana Kelly, Jeremy Rivando, Michael Skimson, Ryan Kingston, Bari Gourley, Jim Zwolak, J.C. Beecroft, Garth Goodbrandson, Louise Zylstra, Carrie Vaughn, Ed Hanczaryk and Mathieu Paradis.
“On behalf of all 3,700 PGA of Canada members, I congratulate these 20 bursary winners for their hard work and dedication,” says PGA of Canada President, Gregg Schubert.
The PGA of Canada Foundation Bursary Program is to assist, encourage and promote the attainment of professional development and part time education opportunities to enhance the skills and abilities of PGA of Canada Members and Candidates for Membership.
A bursary award is contingent upon a Member or Candidate for Membership completing one or more professional development opportunities during the 2013 year. This bursary is only valid for the cost of registration/tuition of any one or more professional development opportunities during the calendar year.
Applications are judged by a three-member independent panel and awarded based on academic achievement and contributions to the community.
