It is with sincere regret that the PGA of BC announces that Jesse Crowe has resigned from his position as Director on the PGA of BC Board, effective immediately. Over the course of the past two years, Jesse has served in the capacity of the Membership & Employment, as well as in the Captain's portfolio where his efforts were instrumental in the positive direction of the Association.
"I would like to thank Jesse for his contributions and efforts on behalf of fellow PGA of BC members. We certainly understand that stepping down was a difficult decision given his passion to make a difference. We know he will run for the Board again in the future and I speak for everyone on the Board that his efforts and energy will be missed" said Brian McDonald, President of the PGA of BC.
In accordance with PGA of BC bylaws, the Board of Directors have unanimously appointed John Randle (Teaching Professional, Bear Mountain Golf Resort) to fill the casual vacancy until the next Annual General Meeting. The results of the recent Board election showed the membership's confidence in John's ability to be a leader.
"John brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be of great benefit to the Association. He served as Assistant's Representative from 2011-2012 and we look forward to his continued contribution to the Board" adds McDonald.
John will have the opportunity to re-run for a seat on the Board at next year's election. Should members have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at your convenience.
