Richmond, B.C. - The PGA of BC announces its list of speakers for the first two events as part of the 2013 PGA of BC Education Series Presented by Jancor Agencies.
On January 14th, the Historic Victoria Golf Club will kick-off the series with a lively presentation from former PGA of BC Teacher of the Year Award winner John Randle on the business of teaching and how to drive revenue to your business. Following Randle's presentation will be a interactive session with Registered Physiotherapist, Andrew Grant of St. Anthony's Medical Treatment Centre in Langford, BC. Mr. Grant's presentation will highlight why stretching before golfing does not reduce the risk of sustaining an injury, but rather potentially increases the risk of injury, and impairs golf-related performance. His presentation will also allow for significant time for attendees to ask any golf related fitness and injury questions they would like answered.
The Vancouver Golf Club will play host to yet another symposium, now for the third year in a row. The popular event will take place on January 21st and will focus primarily on golf instruction, taught by award-winning members of the PGA of BC. The event will start off with an analysis of the forces, torques, and paths of the downswing, taught by The Vancouver Golf Club's own Mark Strong. Next up is two-time reigning PGA of BC Coach of the Year Recipient and current Assistant Coach for Golf Canada's Men's National Golf Team, Robert Ratcliffe, who will share his successes to long-term coaching. Following Ratcliffe will be Matt Palsenbarg of Northview Golf & Country Club, who was newly certified by Vision54 in Phoenix to coach their unique programs. Palsenbarg will focus his presentation on Vision54's Storage & Memory philosophy. Wrapping up the event will be an interactive session, featuring discussions on current instructional topics.
