Congratulations to Tom Monaghan of Fraserview Golf Course, who successfully retained his position as British Columbia's Representative on the PGA of Canada Board.
Due to recent changes to the National Not-for-Profit Act, Tom's re-appointment no longer allows him to serve on conflicting Boards. As a result of Tom's re-election, he will step down from the PGA of BC Board of Directors, effective Thursday April 24th.
The PGA of BC Board of Directors invites qualified members who are interested in serving on the Board of Directors to put their names forward for consideration to fill the vacant position, for a two-year, non-renewable term expiring at the 2016 Annual General Meeting. Please note that Candidates must be Class "A" Professionals to stand for this position
Requirements for the position include, but not limited to:
- Attending 4 PGA of BC Board of Directors meetings per year (3 in person, 1 conference call)
Expectations for the position include, but not limited to:
- Participation in one or more PGA of BC Tournaments
- Attendance at PGA of BC Spring Education Seminar & one or more Education Series Events

Once a list of candidates has been compiled, the membership will then have the opportunity to vote by online election.
