AUGUST 6, 2014
Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club's Ashley Zibrik maintains her lead in the 2014 PGA of British Columbia Professional Development Program Points Race, clinging to a three-point advantage over Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club's Myles Johnson. Zibrik's appearance at the PGA of BC Assistants' Championship kept her in the lead, as well as continued activity as commisioner of the Srixon PGA of BC Tour.
Johnson was able to narrow Zibrik's lead thanks to a busy summer tournament schedule - making appearances at the PGA of BC Assistants' Championship, PGA of BC Pro-Junior Championship, and Sani Marc Canada Cup as well as local Callaway Interior PGA Tour events.
The PGA of BC Professional Development Program recognizes members who show a contribution to the PGA of BC, the golf industry, and to their own continued development. Professionals are awarded points based on participation in events, tournaments, continuing education, and volunteerism. The top five in the points standings are recognized at the end of the year with financial awards. To view full standings - click here.
PGA of BC members are required to submit requests for points where appropriate. All members are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the program - it is likely that many member are eligible for additional points by submission.
