Richmond, BC (November 18, 2014) - Following first-round play at the Titleist & FootJoy PGA Club Professional Championship of Canada, the four-man BC Team of Jeff Buder (72), Doug Morgan (72), Lindsay Bernakevitch (75) and Kevin Maxwell (77) currently leads the InterZone competition by a single stroke (+6) over Team Quebec. The InterZone competition is held over the first two rounds of the 54-hole CPC event, and comprises the top-3 scores of each team per day.
In the overall stroke-play competition, Randy Robb of Edge Golf Academy in Alberta was the only player to shoot even-par (71) and holds a slim one-stroke lead over five other players, including Buder and Morgan, although there are nearly forty players within five shots of the lead heading into Day Two. The top-70 players and ties are scheduled to make the cut, and there are currently 14 players from the BC Region within the cutline:
