FAIRMONT HOT SPRINGS, BC (PGA of British Columbia) -- The PGA of BC's 2018 Education Series presented by Foresight Sports Canada has come to a conclusion with a fantastic gathering in the Kootenays region Monday that featured two excellent and engaging presentations from Association members.
Held at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, host Head Professional Jeremy Johnson and Simon Jones (Kimberley Golf Club) jointly presented the results of the recent PGA of BC Teaching Survey and led discussions on the state of the local golf instruction industry for more than 20 Professionals in attendance.
The day also included a seminar led by Arlen Wocknitz (Victoria Golf Club), who shared his expertise on the skills required to be a strong leader and manager.
Monday's gathering coincided with a Kootenay Pro Tour event held on the resort's Riverside Course, which was won by Chris Medford (St. Eugene Golf Resort & Casino), who shot a 5-under 66 to hold off Johnson by one stroke.
This year's Education Series as a whole was a tremendous success, with more than 160 PGA of BC members and guests attending workshops held all across the province since January. The Association would like to thank all of this year's featured presenters, attendees and host facilities for helping to make each stop of the series a valuable, can't-miss career-development event for Golf Professionals.
Special thanks also goes to presenting sponsor Foresight Sports Canada, whose ongoing support of PGA of BC education programming is greatly appreciated.
