RICHMOND, BC (PGA of British Columbia) – Seven individuals successfully met their respective target scores Thursday in the first PGA of BC Playing Ability Test (PAT) of 2022, conducted at GreenTee Golf & Country Club in Langley, BC.
Thursday’s PAT featured 34 applicants to the PGA of Canada attempting to fulfill their playing ability requirements over 18 holes, needing to achieve an 18-hole target score based upon their age and gender.
Target scores for participating applicants in the PAT were as follows:
- Males aged 49 & younger: 79
- Males aged 50 & older: 81
- Females aged 49 & younger: 84
- Females aged 50 & older: 86
Congratulations to the following successful applicants, listed in alphabetical order:
- Sean Hay (Uplands Golf Club)
- Rogelio La O (GolfTEC Vancouver)
- Muriel McIntyre (Summerland Golf & Country Club)
- Isaac Morris (Victoria Golf Club)
- Coulton Sheets (Fairwinds Golf Club)
- Ben Towner (Blue Ocean Golf Club)
- Sebastien Turgeon (Richmond Country Club)
By demonstrating their playing ability, each of the successful applicants listed above have taken an important step toward obtaining Apprentice Professional status within the PGA of Canada.

The PGA of BC looks forward to offering three additional PAT opportunities across the province during the 2022 season.
