“Perseverance & Podiums: A Canadian Cowboy's Journey”
with Manuel Osborne-Paradis
A four-time Olympian and a three-time winner on the FIS World Cup circuit during his career, Manuel Osborne-Paradis is one of Canada's most decorated ski racers all-time. Part of the "Canadian Cowboys" men's alpine team that surged to prominence in the mid-2000s and contended for Olympic and World Cup medals for more than a decade, Osborne-Paradis was the first Canadian to win World Cup races in both the Downhill and Super-G disciplines and also captured a World Championship bronze medal in Super-G in 2017.
All of the success Osborne-Paradis achieved on the slopes required him to overcome some significant obstacles along the way, including some major crashes that led to extensive injuries. In conversation with PGA of BC Professional Simon Jones, Osborne-Paradis will discuss his career longevity, the hurdles he navigated over a 14-year World Cup career and how he now works to share his elite-level experience with a new generation of ski racers.
