Jim McLaughlin (PGA) – Senior Vice-President,Troon Golf  (Scottsdale, Arizona)
TOPIC: My Career Perspectives; Preparing for Industry Challenges

BIO: Jim is a 25-year Canadian PGA member who launched his career at the prestigious Shaughnessy Golf Club in Vancouver and high profile professional positions at East Sussex National in England and Westwood Plateau Golf and Country Club in Vancouver, Canada. He steadily developed into an outside consultant with Intrawest Golf and became a Senior Vice President responsible for operations of 38 facilities within its North American portfolio. McLaughlin oversees Privé , Troon Golf's private club division in North America. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge in the private golf club market and operations from his 30 years of experience in the golf industry.

Martin Chuck (PGA) – Owner/Director, Tour Striker Golf Academy (Phoenix, Arizona)
TOPIC: Lessons learned from Canadian Legends George Knudson and Moe Norman and how I apply those teachings with modern developments

BIO: After a long and storied path as a golf professional, Martin started the Tour Striker Golf Academy in the Spring of 2011 and it has become one of the most successful Golf Academy and Coaching Programs in North America. At an early age in Toronto, Martin fostered a love for the game inspired by Canadian legends Moe Norman and George Knudson, from whom he received his first lesson.. "The time spent around George and Moe was something I can't really measure and didn't realize how truly special of an opportunity it was." says Chuck. "I was able to watch, witness and in the case of Mr. Knudson, work for one of the best of all-time. I started as a teaching assistant for Mr. Knudson 30 years ago. I guess I owe him for my overnight success as an instructor!" Along the way, he owes a debt of gratitude to all the coaches who have helped him gain a greater knowledge of the game, including; Mike Hebron, Ben Doyle, Brian Manzella, Mark Evershed, Mike LaBauve, Herb Wimberly, Ben Kern, Mike Bennett, Andy Plummer, Joe Mayo, Aaron Olson, Jeff Ritter and Peter Croker, to name but a few.

Jason Ballard (PGA) – Head Professional, Oak Hill Country Club (Rochester, NY)
TOPIC: Staff Development and Oak Hill University

BIO: Jason is the Head Golf Professional at Oak Hill Country Club (Rochester NY) and formerly worked as an Assistant Golf Professional at Inverness Club (Toledo OH), Congressional Country Club (Bethesda MD), Augusta National Golf Club (Augusta GA), and East Lake Golf Club (Atlanta GA). He established a National PAT Record (68-61) in 1999 and was elected a PGA Member in 2004. Jason is actively involved in multiple charities including, Pros Fore Clothes, Golisano Children’s Hospital, and injured veteran golf rehabilitation.

TOPIC: Destination Chambers Bay; Learn about a gravel pit that was transformed into a world class golf destination and hosted one of the great majors of our time

BIO: Brent began his career as a golf professional at Meriwood Golf Course in Olympia, Washington before moving on to Oki Golf,a course property and event management company where he honed his skills at Hawks Prairie, Echo Falls and Newcastle, before moving to Chambers Bay, host site of the 2015US Open. Brent was recently named Western Washington Chapter PGA Golf Professional of the Year.

BIO: Wes has worked in numerous aspects of Retail Operations over his twenty-four year career with Harry Rosen Menswear, including merchandise management, sales management, store management and his current role as Regional Director. He has worked across various territories from Edmonton, Vancouver and Toronto, to Chicago and New York.

TOPIC: Understanding Your Financial Options as a Golf Professional

BIO: Kevin is a Chartered Professional Accountant with experience in both the public and private sectors. He has experience in a wide range of industries within the private sector and was employed by Johnson & Johnson and Gateway Casinos. Kevin spent many years working as an accountant in the film industry in various roles. In 2010, Kevin moved into public accounting joining Bryce as partner at Minni, Clark & Company.
