Why did you become a PGA of Canada Professional?
I wanted to be able to help people!
What is the most rewarding part about being a member of the PGA of BC?
Most rewarding part of being a PGA of BC member is making long last relationships within in the industry and being around like-minded individuals.
At which golf facility did you first begin working within the industry, and who was the PGA Professional?

Who has influenced your career the most, and how?
Lori Hamstra- having being coached my another female at a young age was immensely helpful in my develop as a young female athlete. She was able to understand how to coach someone with fundamentals tailored to me. In addition, her confidence in me never fell short which allowed me to make where I am today.
What career path led you to where you are today?
Teaching has always been something I have enjoyed since I was young. I had goals to become a professional athlete which requires a lot of hard work and knowledge. I started sharing the material that I was learning from my coaches with other people down at the range, and when they applied it and had success, it made me SO happy. I always knew I wanted to help people after that, and I was able to accomplish that through golf.
Which significant accomplishments are you most proud of?
I believe I was a very successful junior golfer, which lead me to being able to play for the University of Victoria Vikes. My most proud accomplishment thus far though has been starting my own teaching and club fitting business- Cari Chow Golf Co.
If you had to share one piece of advice with a new member of our Association, what would it be?
My best advice for new members is find a mentors that you value, and never stop learning. There is always more knowledge out there that can help you become a better golf professional!
What is your most cherished golf memory?
My most cherished golf memories are traveling through the US and competing with my team.
What is your favourite golf course in British Columbia, and why?
My favourite Golf course in BC is Royal Colwood GC. I love the design of the course, especially how beautiful the trees are.
What is a common misconception that golfers make about what your job entails?
A common misconception that golfers make is that the most expensive clubs out there will make you a better golfer. What’s more important is being custom fit so that your golf equipment is perfectly tailored to you and your swing!
What is an interesting fact about yourself that doesn't involve golf?
I have a BA in Fine Arts. If I wasn’t a golf professional, I would be an Artist.
