Originally from South Africa where he discovered a love for the game, Robert Ratcliffe has established himself as a leader in the field of golf coaching in Canada. Drawing on a wealth of experience from having played and coached golf all over the world, Robert's knowledge base and dynamic approach has made him the preferred choice of many serious athletes looking to take their game to the next level. Robert earned his PGA qualifications in England studying under European Tour Coach Mark Gregson‐Walters. After gaining his PGA Class 'A' Status, Robert pursued coaching appointments in England, Florida, Egypt and Alberta before Robert settling in Comox, B.C. Since coming to Canada, Robert has coached at a Provincial level for Alberta Golf, as well as at a Collegiate level for the University of Alberta. In 2007 Robert was appointed to Team Canada as the Women’s Team Assistant National Coach. This role has Robert work with some of Canada’s top female athletes both domestically and internationally. In 2009, Robert efforts in coaching were recognized by his peers when he was presented with the BCPGA Teacher of the Year Award.
