What appeared to be a quiet month in the 2014 PDP standings turned into a big move to the top by Gallagher's Canyon Golf & Country Club's Tara Roden. Roden maximixed her yearly education points by taking a variety of courses and earning the full 20 points in that category to take her PDP total to 47 points, 13 more than second-place Myles Johnson of Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club, who has 34 points. Rounding out the top 3 is The Harvest Golf Club's Chad Scott, who has 33 points.

The 2014 PGA of BC Playing Ability Test schedule has now been finalized, with 2014 Applicants having a choice between 15 Men's events and 6 Women's events. Applicants have a maximum of 5 opportunities to pass their Playing Ability Test and three Applicants have already done so at the March 11/12...
The PGA of BC would like to send its condolences to the friends and family of Russ White, who passed away on March 15. Russ was a longtime member at Seymour Golf & Country Club and a well-known and respected rules official at many local events, including many PGA of BC events. The PGA of BC would like to congratulate 3 2014 Applicants who passed their Playing Abililty Test at Belmont Golf Course in Langley on March 11 and 12. Tyler Thorau of the Olympic View Golf Club, Jordan Rourke of the Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club and Rob Bird of Nicklaus North Golf Course all successfully navigated the tricky par-70 Langley course and posted scores less than 156 for 36 holes of tournament play. The trio have all received packages that they will now fill out and once complete, they become Candidates for Membership with the PGA of Canada.
The PGA of BC launched a successful Professional Development Program (PDP) in 2013 which served as a measurable tool to recognize members of the Association who showed a tremendous contribution to the Association, the industry, and mostly importantly, themselves.
It is with sincere regret that the PGA of BC announces that Jesse Crowe has resigned from his position as Director on the PGA of BC Board, effective immediately. Over the course of the past two years, Jesse has served in the capacity of the Membership & Employment, as well as in the Captain's portfolio where his efforts were instrumental in the positive direction of the Association.
PGA of BC Sales Manager Grant Gray was on hand to greet people at Education Series #3 at The Harvest Golf Club on March 3. While snow blanketed the picturesque Harvest Golf Club in Kelowna on March 3, more than 25 PGA of BC members spent the day learning from Jason Kennedy, Tim Kubash and Brad Pelletier during Education Event #3.
